The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball has a trading deadline of noon on Thursday, September 1 as clubs vie for berths in the ALPB playoffs which begin on September 20.

The trading deadline of noon on September 1 prohibits any trades or player acquisitions between ALPB clubs. After the deadline, each club may add a maximum of two new players from Major League Baseball, foreign leagues or other minor leagues. However, players released by other Atlantic League clubs are not eligible to join another ALPB team.

In the event that a club loses a player less than two weeks prior to the start of the playoffs, the club may request permission from the league to replace the player with a player of like position and equal ability from a league other than the Atlantic League.

Postseason rosters are due to the league office no later than noon (EDT) on Monday, September 12. The playoff roster may include any player currently on the club’s active, inactive or injured list. Clubs may also include on the postseason roster any player whose contract was sold or transferred during the regular season, provided the player is eligible to return to the Atlantic League.

Clubs must submit their 27-person active playoff roster no later than noon on Monday, September 19.
