Bluefish sign outfielders Wilkin Ramírez and Luis Domoromo, and catcher Rossmel Perez

(Bridgeport, Conn. – March 22, 2016) – The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced the signings of outfielders Wilkin Ramírez and Luis Domoromo, as well as catcher Rossmel Perez.

“We’re very happy to have these guys join our lineup this season,” says Bluefish Manager Luis Rodriguez. “All three are coming from good teams last season where they put up some respectable numbers, so we can’t wait to see what they can do for us.”

Wilkin Ramírez comes to Bridgeport for his first season in the Atlantic League and 13th of professional baseball. Last year, the former Major Leaguer played with Rochester of the International League (Triple-A, Minnesota), where he played in 43 games and collected a .232 batting average with three home runs, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. The 24-year-old made his professional debut in 2009 after being signed by the San Diego Padres as an undrafted free agent. He has spent his entire career with the Padres organization, reaching as high as the Double-A level in 2015. In 636 career minor league games, Luis has a .252 batting average with 37 home runs, 270 RBI, 303 runs scored, and 41 stolen bases.

Rossmel Perez joins the Bluefish for his first season in the Atlantic League and 11th of professional baseball.
