Gary Carter spent 19 years in Major League Baseball, putting together a Hall of Fame career. An 11-time All-Star, Carter helped lead the Mets to the 1986 World Series Championship.
Following his playing days, Carter managed in the Atlantic League, guiding the Long Island Ducks during the 2009 season. He led the Ducks into the playoffs with a 74-66 record and lost a tough five-game playoff series to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
