The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) today announced that the All-Star Game and All-Star Gala will return to Lancaster, PA for the first time since 2007. The All-Star Game will be held at Clipper Magazine Stadium, home of the Lancaster Barnstormers on Wednesday, July 13^th with All-Star festivities commencing throughout Lancaster County on Tuesday, July 12^th and leading up to the game.

The Atlantic League All-Star game is the premier showcase of professional baseball players in the United States after the Major League All-Star Game. Among the notable players who have been named to past All-Star rosters include Edgardo Alfonzo, Carl Everett, Danny Graves, Lew Ford and last year’s ALPB Player of the Year Welington Dotel.

“Lancaster is the perfect place to host the All-Star Game,” said Barnstormers Managing Partner Rob Liss. “Lancaster has many historic landmarks, beautiful art galleries, fantastic restaurants and hotels. Our friends from throughout the Atlantic League and baseball fans from all over the country will get a chance to experience what a truly special place Lancaster is!”

Lancaster is the oldest inland city in America. James Buchanan, the 15^th President of the United States, inventor Robert Fulton and abolitionist Thaddeus Stevens all called Lancaster home. Long considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country for those exploring Amish destinations and outlet malls, Lancaster has experienced a renaissance in recent years. The highly-regarded Real Estate Webzine, Movoto, rated Lancaster as the 4^th most exciting small city in the nation in a recent survey.

Barnstormers Baseball has brought the community together under one roof. With its recent state-of-the-art renovations, Clipper Magazine Stadium has emerged as a destination not just for fine baseball but for corporate events ranging from black tie affairs to company picnics. 

The upcoming 2016 game will mark the second time that Lancaster has hosted the All-Star Game. Team rosters will be comprised of stars of the Freedom Division, which includes the Barnstormers, against the best of the Liberty Division.

Details on events, corporate sponsors and ticket availability for the 2016 Atlantic League All-Star Game will be released during the first quarter of 2016.
