Ducks battle Patriots in Liberty Division; Revolution face Skeeters in Freedom Division
 

The 2016 Atlantic League playoff field is set, with four of the league's eight clubs earning spots in this year's postseason. The Liberty Division Championship Series will feature the first half champion Long Island Ducks taking on the second half champion Somerset Patriots. This year marks the second consecutive season that the two teams will face for the Liberty Division title and third time in the past four years that the squads meet in the playoffs.


The Freedom Division Championship Series will match up the first half champion York Revolution with the second half champion Sugar Land Skeeters. Both teams played for the Freedom Division title during the 2014 season. The winners of each series will meet in the Atlantic League Championship Series to determine this year's league champion.
