Atlantic League recognizes 2016 on-field excellence
(Denver, CO, Oct. 13, 2016) – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) today announced its 2016 Post-Season All-Star Team and the Red, White and Blue All-Defensive Team. Players were selected through voting from league club managers and executives.
“The profound level of talent throughout the Atlantic League was evident from Opening Day through the final out of our Championship Season,” said League President Rick White. “Each of the players selected is tremendously deserving of these honors, and we are proud to honor their performances this past season.”

For the second consecutive season, the Atlantic League proudly presents the Red, White and Blue All-Defensive Team. This honor, based on players’ defensive abilities during the 2016 season, celebrates the red and blue stitched Rawlings baseball that was adopted as the league’s official baseball during the 2015 season. Tuesday, October 18 – Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Manager of the Year and Rawlings Gold Glove Defensive Player of the Year
Thursday, October 20 – Club Awards, including the Ken Shepard Award for Promotional Excellence, the Joe Klein Executive of the Year, Grounds Crew of the Year, Mascot of the Year, Ballpark of the Year, Promotion of the Year and Outstanding Community Service Award
