Charleston Dirty Birds reliever Tyler Wilson has had his contract purchased by the Leones de Yucatan of the Mexican League.
Wilson this week was named as one of the relievers on the 2022 Atlantic League-Ballpark Digest Mid-Season All-Star team. Wilson has compiled a 3-1 record with a remarkable 0.64 ERA in 28 appearances for Charleston. He has converted all 10 save opportunities while holding opponents to a .132 batting average and a 0.71 WHIP.
During the season, Wilson put together a streak of 21 consecutive innings of not allowing an earned run and a nine inning streak of not allowing a hit.
