Skeeters GM Accepts Position with Elmore Sports Group

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS – The Sugar Land Skeeters announced today that General Manager Chris Jones has accepted a position with the Elmore Sports Group Ltd.

Jones served two seasons with the Skeeters. During that time, he developed a strong culture and a staff highly focused on customer service and producing a top quality product.

“As a Houston native, I am extremely grateful for the fans and community I’ve gotten to know these past two years in Sugar Land,” Jones said. “It’s been great to come back and work in the Houston area but my family and I are excited for this new opportunity with the Elmore Group.”

“The Skeeters’ organization thanks Chris for his hard work and wishes him well with the Elmore Sports Group,” stated Bob and Marcie Zlotnik, owners of the Skeeters.

About the Sugar Land Skeeters

The Sugar Land Skeeters are led by former Major Leaguer Gary Gaetti and play at Constellation Field, a state-of-the art stadium located at the intersection of State Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 90A in Sugar Land. 

The Skeeters play 140 regular season games in the Atlantic League, considered the highest level of Minor League Baseball. Atlantic League players are “Major League ready” and in the last 16 years, over 600 players have graduated from Atlantic League clubs to Major League organizations, making the League a preferred route for experienced players to be scouted by Major League Baseball.
