Hot stove moves from ALPB players and alumni:
- Former High Point Rocker RHP Ryan Weiss has signed with the Houston Astros. Weiss spent parts of the 2023 and ’24 season with the Rockers. He went 16-5 with the Hanwha Eagles in the Korean Baseball Association in 2025 and will soon find himself in the Astros Major League camp.
- Former Long Island Duck RHP Robert Stock signed with the Mets during the off-season. Stock went 9-4 in 16 starts with the Ducks in 2023. He authored one of the eight individual ALPB no-hitters with a 4-0 win against Southern Maryland on July 18, 2023.
- Staten Island’s RHP Tanner Andrews has signed with the Toronto Blue Jays. Andrews went 2-0 with three saves in 15 appearances, allowin just five hits over 13.2 innings before his contract was purchased by Minnesota in June.
- RHP Matt Seelinger, who appeared in 21 games and locked down 11 saves for the Long Island Ducks in 2024, signed with the Detroit Tigers. Seelinger spent the 2025 season at Detroit’s AAA club in Toledo, going 7-2 with three saves in 36 appearances.
- The Chicago Cubs signed former Long Island Ducks pitcher Tyler Beede to a minor league contract. Beede made five starts for the Ducks in 2025, going 2-1. He won eight MLB games across five seasons with San Francisco, Pittsburgh and Cleveland before landing with the Ducks last season.
- OF Jaylin Davis, who hit .316 with three homers and five RBI in helping the York Revolution win a second straight ALPB championship, announced his retirement. A former Major Leaguer with the Giants and Red Sox, Davis appeared in 38 MLB games across four seasons from 2019-2022.
- Former York and Hagerstown manager Mark Mason will serve as the bench coach for the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League this season. He will be joined by former Lancaster (2022-23) hurler Brandyn Sittinger who will be a player/pitching coach
