Three Atlantic League standouts have already gained membership in the 20-20 Club in 2025. Charleston’s James Nelson, High Point’s Ben Aklinski and Lexington’s Brady Whalen all have reached the 20 home runs, 20 stolen bases milestone.
Nelson leads the ALPB with 26 home runs and is tied for fourth in the league with 33 stolen bases.
Whalen has 20 homers and 25 stolen bases this season for the Legends and Aklinski leads High Point with 25 homers and 22 stolen bases.
This is the first time that Nelson and Whalen have earned 20-20 status in the Atlantic League. For Aklinski, it marks his third consecutive season at 20-20. He is the first player in Atlantic League history to earn 20-20 status in three consecutive seasons.
In each of the last two seasons, five Atlantic League players have joined the 20-20 Club. Among those on the verge of achieving 20-20 status in 2025 are Dylan Rock of Lexington (19 HR, 22 SB), Eric De La Rosa of Gastonia (16 HR, 26 SB) and High Point’s Luis Gonzalez (15 HR, 27 SB).
