Long Island’s Jackie Bradley, Jr. set the Ducks’ franchise record for longest hitting streak during a 10-5 win at home against the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars on Friday, July 19.
Bradley extended the streak with a two-run homer in the third inning off Hagerstown starter Anthony Rodriguez. Bradley also drew a pair of walks.
Bradley broke the previous club record set by Mel Stocker from May 17 to June 20, 2006.
The streak began on May 9 with a pair of hits vs. Staten Island. It withstood more than a month break while Bradley was sidelined with an injury from May 16 through June 24. He returned to action on June 25 with a home run vs. York and has hit in all 21 games since his return.
Bradley’s streak is now the eighth-longest in Atlantic League history and the longest by an ALPB player since York’s J.P. Sportman hit safely in 27 consecutive games in 2019.
