Kaminsky moves from FerryHawks to Cardinals
The Staten Island FerryHawks are thrilled to announce that former pitcher, Rob Kaminsky has inked a minor league deal with the St. Louis Cardinals, marking his return to the organization where his professional baseball journey began.
A true standout on the mound, Kaminsky made an immediate impact after being drafted in 2013. In his first full season, he posted a stellar 1.88 ERA in Class-A before taking his game to the next level in High-A with an impressive 2.09 ERA. He was then traded to Cleveland before rejoining the St. Louis Cardinals for the 2020 season where he made his MLB debut. The lefty made 5 appearances for the Cardinals, surrendering 1 earned run.
In June 2024, Kaminsky signed with the Staten Island FerryHawks, quickly making an impact in just two appearances before being scooped up by the Seattle Mariners organization. He finished the 2024 season playing with the Tacoma Rainiers (AAA), showcasing his skills on a bigger stage. He now returns to where it all started.
The Kaminsky news follows a string of signings for the FerryHawks in the last month that includes Kolby Johnson to the Red Sox organization, Luis Castro to the Astros organization, and Kyle Dernedde to the Guardians organization.
The Staten Island FerryHawks extend their congratulations to Rob on this incredible achievement and wish him the best as he embarks on this exciting new phase with the St. Louis Cardinals!
