Revs set ALPB stolen base record

The York Revolution have set the Atlantic League record for the most stolen bases in a season. The Revs broke the previous mark of 305 that was set by Gastonia in 2022.

In 2024, the Revs have two of the top three base stealers in the ALPB. Rudy Martin, Jr. has been successful on 74 of 76 stolen base attempts and leads the league in swipes. Matt McDermott has notched 54 stolen bases iin 64 attempts. Additionally, Donovan Casey swiped 33 bases before his contract was purchased by the Dodgers. Jacob Rhinesmith has 28 stolen bases and Kobe Kato stole 27 before moving into the Seattle Mariners organization.

Martin, Jr.’s 74 stolen bases are tied for the fourth-most in a season by an ALPB player. The season record-holder is Billy Hall who swiped 104 bases with Somerset in 2000.

Since breaking the record, York has increased its team stolen base total to 309 through 113 games.
