Ford Oldest to Homer: Long Island’s Lew Ford hit homers vs. Lexington July 12 and 13 making him the oldest player in ALPB history to homer at 45 years, 11 months and 1 day... He broke the previous mark held by Rickey Henderson (Newark) who homered at 45 years, 6 months and 23 days on July 17, 2004.
Team Hitting: Lexington slammed six home runs in back-to-back games vs. Long Island (7/12 & 7/13) … SMD had four triples in a seven inning game vs. Staten Island 7/13… Lancaster scored eight times in the sixth inning of a 16-7 win over Charleston 7/16… Long Island put up eight runs in the second inning vs. LEX 7/12… Long Island hit a season-high five homers vs. Lexington 7/13.
